What is an exchange UID?

A UID (User ID) is a unique numeric identifier assigned to your account by the exchange when you register. It's different from your username or email — it's a permanent internal reference number used by the exchange's system to identify your account.

TetherReturn uses your UID to verify that your exchange account was created through TetherReturn's partner link, and to track the trading fees generated by your account for payback calculation. Without UID registration, payback cannot be tracked or paid out.

Your UID is not sensitive in the same way as a password — it's simply an account identifier. Registering it with TetherReturn does not give TetherReturn any access to your funds or trading activity.

If you signed up directly on the exchange without using TetherReturn's partner link, your account is not eligible for payback — even if you register the UID afterward. You would need to create a new exchange account through TetherReturn to qualify.

Step-by-step: How to register your UID

Create your exchange account through TetherReturn

Visit TetherReturn, select your preferred exchange, and click the "Start Payback" button. This takes you to the exchange's sign-up page with TetherReturn's partner code pre-applied. Complete the registration process normally.

Complete KYC verification on the exchange

Most exchanges require identity verification (KYC) before you can trade. Complete this process on the exchange as prompted — it typically involves uploading a government ID and taking a selfie. This is the same process as a direct sign-up.

Find your UID on the exchange

Once your account is set up, log in and navigate to your Profile or Account Settings page. Your UID (sometimes called User ID, Referral ID, or Member ID) is typically displayed prominently near your username. See the exchange-specific instructions below.

Register your UID on TetherReturn

Log into TetherReturn and go to the exchange registration section. Select your exchange, paste your UID, and confirm. Payback will begin accumulating automatically with every trade from this point forward.

Start trading and watch payback accumulate

Trade on the exchange as normal. Your TetherReturn wallet will automatically update as fees are settled. You can check your accumulated balance and request USDT withdrawals from the TetherReturn My Page at any time.

Log into Bitget → Click your profile icon (top right) → Select My Profile → Your UID is displayed under your username. It begins with a number like 123456789.

OKX

Log into OKX → Click your avatar (top right) → Select My Account → Your UID appears under your account nickname in the format UID: XXXXXXXXXX.

Gate.io

Log into Gate.io → Hover over your username (top right) → Select My Profile → Your User ID appears below your username.

Bybit

Log into Bybit → Click your avatar → Select Account Info → Your UID is listed as UID directly on the page.

BingX

Log into BingX → Click your profile icon → Select Account & Security → Your UID appears at the top of the page.

Tapbit

Log into Tapbit → Click your profile → Select Account Settings → Your User ID is shown near the top.

Troubleshooting: Common issues

"My UID is not being recognized"

Make sure you are copying the numeric UID only — no spaces, letters, or special characters. If you copied it from a profile URL or QR code, the format may include extra characters. Go directly to your account settings page and copy the plain number.

"I already registered my UID but payback isn't showing"

Payback appears after your first trade is settled, which can take 24–48 hours depending on the exchange's settlement cycle. If no payback appears after 3 days of active trading, contact TetherReturn's support team.

"I created my account directly, not through TetherReturn"

Unfortunately, payback cannot be applied retroactively to existing accounts. You would need to create a new exchange account using a different email address through TetherReturn's partner link to qualify. See each exchange's page for the correct sign-up link.

"I forgot to use TetherReturn's link when signing up"

Same situation as above. You would need a fresh account created through TetherReturn's link. Consider registering on a different exchange where you don't yet have an account to start earning payback there first.

After registration: what to expect

Once your UID is successfully registered:

  • You can check your accumulated balance in TetherReturn's My Page
  • Withdrawals can be requested at any time with no minimum amount
